On Wednesday, 25.2.2026 between 10h and 12h, maintenance work will be carried out on the Oracle APEX (Application Express) environment on the Oracle databases (IAM_DB, DESY_DB, BPM_DB) in order to install necessary security patches.

APEX is a service that can be used to develop and provide database-supported web applications.

During maintenance, the APEX development environment and all applications will be unavailable.
Each individual database is expected to experience an APEX outage of approximately 30 minutes.
In total, maintenance will take approximately 2 hours across all databases.
This applies ONLY to the APEX environments and applications on the individual databases.

Affected services:
IAM_DB: e.g. IAM, Risikomanagement, GrantCockpit, JAG u.a.
BPM_DB: e.g. the Reporting
DESY_DB: various Applications, listed here: https://it.desy.de/dienste/uco/aktuelles/liste_apex_anwendungen_auf_desy_db

As this is an infrastructure update, the subsequent necessary information of the users of these APEX applications is the responsibility of the APEX developers. More detailed information has been sent to the application developers by e-mail in beforehand. A separate e-mail was also sent to the IAM users.
